Optical Lead Crystal, Cast, Ground and Polished For this work, Ramsey was thinking of a form that related to the old type of a hand-plow mouldboard and share. He decided to leave the edges rounded at the points to make the piece more streamlined to indicate the idea of moving and turning soil. The image is one of the most literal in the series with an actual pattern that reflects the center rotation irrigation system. Like many of the others it also explores edges and terrain by textures and surfaces that include tilled areas, water and untended land.
